Things to do in the region

Take a tour

Discover the forest on a tranquil walk; for those of you who love adventure, take a 4WD tour through the Yeagarup Dunes where the blaze of wildflowers are certainly a feature in the springtime and the dunes spectacular or at a more leisurely pace, take a cruise down the Donnelly River.

Other guided tours include canoeing down the pristine Warren River, conducted winery tours and experiencing the karri forest by tramway where you travel over many streams and brooks along wooden trestle bridges. And the world famous Bibullmun track is right at our doorstep!

Wetting a line

Pemberton's cool climate and abundant fresh water make it ideal for raising trout and marron (a local freshwater crayfish). You can purchase your marron from many specialty shops in the area or catch your own. Licenses are required and seasonal information is available.

Guides are available to teach you to fly fish, for beach fishing and to take you to secret locations.

Climbing trees

Visitors will enjoy the thrill of climbing one of the three famous climbing trees in the area: namely the Gloucester Tree (61 meters tall) where the native birds come for seed from your hand; the Bicentennial Tree and the
Diamond Tree. The Beedelup Falls and Big Brook Dam are also worthy of a visit.


Day trips

Within a leisurely days drive visitors to the region may discover long
stretches of secluded white beach, which offer exceptional surf, fishing and four-wheel-driving experiences.

·Easy day trips to Margaret River, Augusta, Nannup, Manjimup, Denmark and Walpole with the famous ' Tree Top Walk' make Pemberton a perfect base, to explore the region.
